The Knights will send 12 lifters to next Thursday\u2019s Region 3-2A meet at Flagler Palm Coast High School.<\/p>\n<p>Creekside finished first with 48 points. Oakleaf (40) was second, followed by Bartram Trail (38), Middleburg (36), St. Augustine (23), Nease (19) and Fleming Island (15). In all 37 St. Johns County lifters advanced to regionals. Six country lifters won their weight classes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bartram Trail\u2019s Andrea Freeman, despite weighing 10 points less than any other contender, won the 101-pound division after bench pressing 95 pounds and hoisting 90 in the clean and jerk for a 185 total.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bartram Trail\u2019s Tyller Bauer (115-150\u2014265) won at 110 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Creekside\u2019s Nickey Ness (120-160\u2014280) won at 119.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Creekside\u2019s Grace Wiegel (135-155\u2014290) won at 129.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bartram\u2019s Qua\u2019liyyah Taylor (150-180\u2014330) won at 199.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Creekside\u2019s Samantha Wood (155-180\u2014335) won in unlimited.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Source: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.staugustine.com\/sports\/20190121\/st-johns-county-roundup-creekside-girls-weightlifting-claims-district-5-2a-title\">St. Johns County roundup: Creekside girls weightlifting claims District 5-2A title<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GIRLS WEIGHTLIFTING &#8211; Creekside wins district title Creekside topped a field of seven teams to win the District 5-2A girls weightlifting championship Thursday.
