St. Johns River State College<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n SJRSC DUAL ENROLLMENT ONLINE\u00a0<\/strong>APPLICATION LINK<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Creekside High School Offers Dual Enrollment Courses through St. Johns River State College. Students who are eligible are allowed to take Dual Enrollment courses at Creekside as well as on St. Johns River State College campus.<\/p>\n What is Dual Enrollment (grades 9-12)?<\/strong> DISCLAIMER: Be mindful of registering for dual enrollment science courses – if the course DOES NOT require a lab it DOES NOT meet a science HS graduation requirement, nor does it count towards Florida Bright Futures and College admissions. Please sure to register for only science courses that have a lab as a co-requisite.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n What are the benefits of dual enrollment?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Saves parents and students money because tuition and lab fees are waived.<\/p>\n 2. Shortens time to earn a college degree.<\/p>\n 3. Offers challenging courses.<\/p>\n 4. Gives students the opportunity to earn high school credit and college credit at the same time.<\/p>\n 5. Awards students with college credit that is transferable to any Florida public college or university.<\/p>\n Who is eligible for Dual Enrollment?<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Students who have an overall unweighted 3.0 grade point average.<\/p>\n 2. Students that have appropriate scores for the SAT, PSAT, ACT, or PERT exams.<\/p>\n 3. Permission from a parent or guardian and your high school guidance counselor.<\/p>\n 4. \nDual enrollment is a program where eligible high school students attend college classes and earn high school credit and college credit at the same time. The credits that students earn must be applicable toward high school graduation and acceptable toward an Associate or Baccalaureate degree. When a student is Dual Enrolled they can take up to 16 college credits during the fall and spring semester and up to two college courses during the summer semester. A dual enrolled student will still be able to take classes on Creekside’s campus, but not to exceed the total number of college credits allowed per semester.<\/p>\n
