Back-to-school testing update:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2705 DOES YOUR STUDENT NEED TO TAKE A STATE ASSESSMENT?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biology 1 \u2022 FCLE \u2022 Geometry \u2022 U.S. History<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your student may need to test if they:<\/p>\n

\u2714\ufe0f Are a new student
\n\u2714\ufe0f Need to retake an assessment
\n\u2714\ufe0f Need to earn course credit by exam
\n\u2714\ufe0f Completed the course online<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udce9 CONTACT YOUR STUDENT’S COUNSELOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your student needs to take one of these assessments, please have them contact their school counselor. The counselor will submit a request to have the student scheduled during the next available testing window.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> This applies to Geometry<\/strong>, Biology 1<\/strong>, U.S. History<\/strong>, and FCLE for students who are not in 12th grade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf93 SENIORS: FCLE REQUIREMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your student is a senior (12th grade)<\/strong>, they will automatically be scheduled<\/strong> to take the Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE)<\/strong> during either the Fall<\/strong> or Spring<\/strong> testing window, if needed.\u00a0 No counselor request is required for senior FCLE testing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2705 FAST ELA READING & B.E.S.T. ALGEBRA 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

FAST ELA Reading<\/strong> and B.E.S.T. Algebra 1<\/strong> are Florida graduation requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If your student has not yet earned a passing score on one or both of these assessments, they will be automatically scheduled<\/strong> to retake the required assessment(s) during each state testing window<\/strong> until a passing score is achieved.<\/p>\n

Testing information will be communicated through Schoology<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n

Parents are encouraged to ensure their students regularly check Schoology for testing updates and important announcements.<\/p>\n

Make sure Schoology notifications are enabled so your student does not miss important testing information, scheduling updates, or announcements.<\/p>\n
