BOYS GOLF TRYOUTS

Week of August 12-16
Days/Times/Sites TBA
Each player will have up to three opportunities to play “9” hole rounds of golf
Player BEST score counts toward qualifying:
IN THE EVENT A “PLAYOFF” IS NECESSARY –
THE QUALIFIERS WILL BE DETERMINED THROUGH A SHORT GAME COMPETITION
ON FRIDAY AUGUST 16^TH AT A SITE TBD!

12 Players Qualify:
8 Varsity
4 Junior Varsity (MUST BE UNDERCLASSMEN)

CHS Athletic Clearance REQUIRED prior to participation in tryouts.
ALL participants MUST be CLEARED by CHS Athletic Staff in order to participate in the tryouts
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Players may start signing up now!

USGA Rules Exam:
ALL players MUST complete a USGA Rules Test to be eligible to participate in the tryouts!
This will be taken at your home.
Players may use their phone and go on line to access USGA RLUES
A parent must be present & may assist the student.
Both the player & the parent must sign the document!

Focus of the exam {10 Questions} will be on:
Player is responsible for his score & ALL rulings
Red, Yellow & White Stakes
Teeing Area
Hazards etc.

Test will be EMAILED to students – players will hand in their tests at the FIRST Tryout Site.
Email addresses will be based on Athletic Clearance information
Tests will be sent on or before August 5^th

Parents Meeting – REQUIRED – BOTH PARENTS:
Tuesday August 20, 6:00-8:00 at CHS – Room TBA
