Boys high school basketball 2017-18: Teams, players to watch |  jacksonville.com

High school basketball season begins Monday. A look at five teams and players to watch as the season opens.

Creekside: The Knights went from under .500 in 2013-14, to rolling off three consecutive seasons of reaching the state playoffs, including years of 24 and 26 wins the last two. Creekside lost by a point in OT to Tallahassee Lincoln in the regional finals. With so much talent coming back, the Knights are positioned well for another lengthy playoff run. G J’michael Plummer (13.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg) was an All-First Coast selection last season. F Caleb Townsend (12 ppg), F DJ Dumas (8.4 ppg) and G Noah Lippy (7.8 ppg) are all back, meaning four of Creekside’s five top scorers return.
