Creekside: They’re coming off two state titles, part of an extraordinary run of success that’s made St. Johns County history. There’s a lot of speed to replace: Top runners Matthew Clark, Nick Deal and Jackson Storey have all graduated and now run in college. But the Knights always find fresh talent. High school volleyball 2017: Five teams, players to watch out for

High school volleyball season begins Monday. A look at five teams and five players to watch as the season opens.

Creekside: The Knights are a perennial state contender and, even with a handful of big graduation losses, will be so again under coach Megan Bowers. A somewhat senior-heavy lineup is led by powerful middles, with 6-foot-1 Milla Ciprian, a Virginia commit, arguably the best in the area. She had 221 kills, 163 digs and 64 blocks last season. Caroline Webb is also back in the middle, Brooklyn McBride flanks the outside and libero Margaret Gupton also returns.
