The National History Day competition allows students to research and showcase their work through a variety of categories such as documentaries, exhibits, website building, performances, and writing papers. This year’s theme was Revolution, Reaction and Reform in History. The competition also allows for advancement to state and national levels of competition for those projects that meet the rigorous standards to compete at the advanced levels.
The students listed below were awarded for their efforts at the annual National History Day County Awards Ceremony at FCTC. The two projects highlighted will be representing Creekside at the state competition in Tallahassee in May.
A special shoutout to Walter “Trey” Boswell for winning Best Overall Project, sponsored by the St. Augustine Historical Society. His project stood out among all the competitors in all junior and senior divisions and categories of competition combined. He will be recognized for his work at an upcoming board meeting.
