C/O 2020 Honored with Stadium Lighting

The Creekside Knights Athletics Department honored the Class of 2020 with a 20 minute and 20 second lighting of the athletics facilities.

Spring seasons for many sports were cut short this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, with graduation and end-of-year ceremonies being cancelled as well.

The Creekside Athletic Department and the entire Knights family stands in solidarity with our senior class as we wish them the very best as they move forward in their life journey.

5-Star Gardner Earns ANOTHER 2nd Team Selection

Another week, another All-Area Selection for Taylor “5-Star” Gardner.

In the least surprising bit of news of the week, News4Jax released their Girls Hoops 1st and 2nd Team selections, with Taylor, once again, earning the highest ranking of any girl in St Johns County by making the 2nd Team. Her wonderful teammates Maddie Lippy and Emily McIntosh earned Honorable Mention nods to accompany Taylor in the rankings.

It is clear from both the DuvalSports and News4Jax All Area Selections that rival coaches and area scouts view Taylor as the highest ranked prospect coming out of St Johns County this year. Unfortunately, Taylor was not able to capture the hearts of the St Augustine Record and earn St Johns County Player of the Year. We all know Taylor will put her head down and put in the work needed to help her team win, so we can only hope she gets the recognition she deserves in her Senior Season.

Message From Coach McNickle – New Head Coach for Lady Knights Golf

Good afternoon,

My name is Steven McNickle and I’m excited about the opportunity to be the Girls golf coach this upcoming season.Ā  I look forward to meeting everyone soon.Ā

Here’s a little about me and my coaching philosophy:

For the past 4 years, I’ve been coaching theĀ middle school golf teams at Patriot oaks and Valley Ridge which coveredĀ all skillĀ levels.Ā  Personally, I’ve been an avid golfer for many years and played all over the US & Europe.Ā  I’ve gone through several coaching clinics to not only improve my game but to be able to transfer that knowledge to my players.Ā Ā

My goals are to provide you a solid foundation to improve your mental focus on the course along with the swing aspects of the game .Ā  I put a heavy emphasis on the short game where a majority of strokes are gained or lost.Ā  If you have a desire to play beyond high school, I will work hard to help you achieve your goals to theĀ best of your ability.Ā Ā

I will be sending out more information in the comingĀ weeks, but feel free to reach out to me through email, text & even callĀ šŸ˜€Ā if you have any questions.Ā  Ā

Lastly, If you plan on returning to the team this upcoming season,Ā  the enrollment informationĀ is located on the schoolĀ website.Ā  Ā

Taylor Gardner Leads Lady Knights Hoops With Multiple All-County and All-Area Selections

Taylor Gardner led the Lady Knights this year, earning a spot on the All-St. Johns County First Team and the All-First Coast Second Team.

Joining Taylor was Emily McIntosh and Maddie Lippy on the All-St. Johns County Second Team, with Maddie also earning an All-First Coast Third Team selection, while Emily earned Honorable Mention in All-First Coast Selections.

Oddly enough, Taylor was the highest rated St Johns County player nominated to an All-First Coast team, yet was unable to take home All-St. Johns County Player of the Year. We will have to wait until next year to see if Taylor “5-Star” Gardner can pick up one last award to add to her already illustrious career!

In a hard fought battle, the #4 seed Lady Knights were taken down by #8 seed Mainland. It was an emotional ending to a phenomenal season for the Lady Knights. The Lady Knights finish the season with 16 wins, 9 loses, and won a District Championship.

Until next season girls. #UnfinishedBusiness
