Welcome, Coach Roger!

Creekside High School is excited to announce the addition of Boys Volleyball to the Knights Athletics Program! The Knights have hired Leonardo “Lenny” Roger to head up the program.

Coach Roger was born and raised in Puerto Rico and began playing volleyball in the third grade. He developed as a leader and was tapped to coach his peers as a 7th-grade athlete. He excelled as a varsity athlete in high school, and as a senior his team earned the silver medal at the Puerto Rico High School Athletic Association Championships. Unfortunately, an injury prevented him from playing at the collegiate level.

Coach Roger returned to the sport in 2018 and began coaching boys and girls volleyball at JJVA, Patriot Oaks Academy, and Valley Ridge Academy. In 2020, he became the first boys’ volleyball coach in St. Johns County at St. Augustine High School. He coached the team to their first winning season in 2021.

Coach Roger is thrilled to be a Creekside Knight and hopes to create a winning culture while developing the game he loves. He wants the athletes to get better, play hard, and have fun!
