Creekside High School is pleased to offer 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The PSAT/NMSQT is an essential step in college preparation. It offers students the opportunity to experience a college readiness exam and helps identify those who may benefit from advanced coursework. The PSAT mirrors the SAT in structure, timing, and content, providing excellent practice while evaluating essential skills in Reading, Writing, and Math—key areas for success in college and beyond. Your student will also receive personalized feedback on their skills to help improve before taking the SAT.
Sophomores will receive the PSAT at no cost, as the state fully funds it. There is no need for 10th-grade students to register.
Freshmen and Juniors must register and pay a $22 testing fee. Registration must be completed online using the SchoolPay links provided below, no later than midnight on September 15, 2024. This deadline is firm due to the College Board’s enforced policies for payment and registration in computer-based testing, without exception.
For Juniors, the PSAT/NMSQT serves as the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Students will receive an Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT® in their English classes, which includes test information and a full-length practice test with answer keys.
Accommodations:
If your student has a documented disability, they may be eligible for testing accommodations for the PSAT, SAT, and AP Exams through the College Board. Please note:
- An IEP or 504 Plan does not guarantee approval of accommodations for College Board exams. All decisions are made solely by the College Board.
- To request accommodations, the College Board’s Consent Form for Accommodations Request must be signed by both the student and parent/guardian and submitted to the student’s school counselor.
To request accommodations, a completed Consent Form for Accommodations Request must be submitted to your student’s school counselor by Friday, August 22, 2025. Forms received after this deadline are not guaranteed approval for the 2025–2026 PSAT administration.
Once the form is received, we will begin the application process. For additional information about accommodations for the PSAT, SAT, and AP Exams, please visit Accommodations on College Board Exams contact the College Board directly at 212-713-8333.
✅ Once approved, always active: If your student has received accommodations through the College Board, there’s no need to reapply for each individual exam. These accommodations will remain in effect throughout high school and will automatically apply to all future College Board tests.
📅 How long do they last? Accommodations stay active until one year after high school graduation, unless the College Board is notified that they are no longer needed.
🔍 Check or update accommodations: Students can view their current accommodations status by logging into their College Board account. To request changes, a new consent form must be submitted.
If you have any questions about submitting College Board accommodations, please contact your student’s School Counselor.
