Florida Statewide Assessment Program
The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring system that is administered three times per year to track your students’ progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout the school year. Your student’s results from PM3 will show how well your student has mastered the grade-level content standards.
Additionally, A passing score (level 3 or higher) is required for 10th-grade students in order to satisfy their ELA graduation assessment requirement. The FAST ELA Reading PM3 is administered in one 120-minute session, and students may work up to the end of the school day.
The testing windows below denote the amount of time provided for districts and schools to select test administration days; they do not represent the amount of time students spend taking the assessments. The windows are established to provide maximum flexibility to efficiently deliver these important measurements of student progress and performance and maximize student learning and instructional time.
