SJR State Collier-Blocker Minority In-District Scholarship 2017-2018
Students must be a minority and a current resident of Clay, Putnam, or St. Johns Counties and must be enrolling in a Postsecondary Adult Vocational or Associate-level program (scholarship is not available to students in Baccalaureate programs) with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. First time in college students must demonstrate an ability to succeed in college through placement on the sliding scale for initial academic eligibility. The selection committee will consider all complete applications that meet the minimum eligibility requirements; however, all eligible students may not be awarded a scholarship. Decisions regarding the awarding of the SJR State Minority In-District Scholarship will be made by the Scholarship Selection Committee based on the eligible students’ personal statement, demonstrated need, and history.
Procedures for Applying:
Submit the following documents no later than March 31, 2017:
- SJR State Admission Application
- SJR State Minority In-District Scholarship Application to include personal statement
- High School/College Transcripts and Placement Test Score(s)
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
American Society of Military Comptrollers
Scholarship application from the American Society of Military Comptrollers. This $500 scholarship is for seniors who will major in accounting, finance, business or computer science in college.

Liberty Pines Academy Scholarship for Seniors
Eligibility: Any student who attended Liberty Pines Academy and is a member of the graduating class of 2017. Students must have a definite plan to further their education at a recognized post-secondary, degree, or certificate-granting school for the 2017-2018 school year.
Requirements: 1) Complete the application. 2) Write a 500-word essay detailing your favorite memories of LPA and how it made you who you are today. 3) High School Guidance Counselor verification form. 4) Submit all requirements to Guidance Counselor BY March 31, 2017.
**$500.00 Scholarship will be awarded at the end of the school year.
The DREAM US Scholarship
- Amount:Cover Tuition fees at partner colleges
- Deadline: March 17, 2017
- Eligibility: DREAMers who want to get a college education but cannot afford it. This scholarship is available to high school seniors or high school graduates with demonstrated financial need who are first time college students and seek to earn a career-ready associate’s or bachelor’s degree at one of our Partner Colleges

Hester Abbey’s Floor Covering Scholarship
2 STEM scholarships designated for any Math or Science major attending a college or university in the fall. One will be awarded for Merit and one will be need based. Each are worth $2,000. Please see Mrs. Tippins in Guidance for an application.

Putnam-St Johns County Farm Bureau
BILL AND MARY ETHEL COTTON LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP – $500
Awarded to a high school senior (priority given to St. Johns County student) wishing to pursue a collegiate degree. The graduating senior is expected to show scholastic achievement along with other school and community extracurricular activities including community service.
SCOTT WILSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – $250
Awarded to a high school senior that plans to pursue a technical certificate or college degree. The graduating senior is expected to show high school involvement in technical, health, or agricultural education.
TEDDY SIEHLER DISTINGUISHED SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP – $500
Awarded to a high school senior (priority given to Putnam County student) wishing to pursue a collegiate degree. The graduating senior is expected to show academic achievement along with other school and community extracurricular activities including community service.

The Florida Striders Track Club
This year, four (4) $1,000 college scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who live in Northeast Florida. Scholarship application is posted on our club’s website at www.floridastriders.com and can be downloaded as a Word document.

St. Johns County Medical Alliance
Scholarships are awarded to St. Johns County graduating seniors pursuing an
education in pre-medicine, nursing, or allied health. They do not accept
applications for study in veterinary medicine.
